My Thought Is Coffee Maker Reviews Is Good Only For Commercial Coffee Maker
Friday 9 January 2009I am someone that do not really believe in coffee maker reviews or ratings. This is because after shopping and buying coffee makers for a couple of years, I find them to be not giving a fair evaluation.
I mean, the coffee maker reviews are most complied by experts and gurus that are in the industry and they tend to be sponsored by one and sometimes a few coffee companies. So, if this is the case, how can the reviews or ratings be accurate and a unbiased.
But, that is really a personal view, and I know of a group of folks that has found great use for these reviews and ratings, and they are the office folks. These are the people that are buying coffee solution for the office pantry.
Office coffee is unique in the sense that you cannot take one person taste profile as the guide and there is no way to estimate what is the coffee profile on the whole, so the best way in buying a commercial coffee maker is to see the ratings and reviews from the coffee industry.
As the industry evolves, and companies try to give a better insights into their products, they came out with better and more comprehensive reviews and ratings report, which no doubt would benefit the committee that is shopping for the office coffee.
But, aside from the commercial coffee maker, there is really not much use for the reviews and ratings. Let say you are shopping for a espresso coffee maker on a personal basis, if you would do shop for it online, there would be a few brands that you would be exposed to.
One is nespresso, senseo and keurig coffee maker. In all fairness, they could not even be consider a espresso maker as they are group under the single serve coffee maker genre. Very rarely would you find a la pavoni espresso machine.
The la pavoni espresso machine is what I would call a true blue espresso maker, but unless you search knowing the exact term for this espresso brewer, chances are you would not find it at all.
I do not know the reason companies are not promoting it, it might be due to the manual nature of it or the high price which company think, and not many consumers can afford it.
From this example, I am trying to bring out the point that coffee maker reviews are merely a tool for companies to better showcase their products and is not something you should depend on for the most accurate capability of the coffee brewers.
There you have it folks, my take on coffee maker reviews. I still take the stand that they are only useful for choosing commercial coffee maker as they provides a benchmark where the decision maker can take without being seem as biased.
